Continuing the DEI Conversation: Conference Recap

WCED’s Danya Perry was both overwhelmed and excited with the success of the Raleigh Chamber's first Diversity, Equity & Inclusivity Conference. "The response from the community, the involvement of the task force, the level of interest in sponsorships, and the quality and depth of the content was incredible," said Danya Perry, WCED equitable economic development manager. "The participation we saw from each attendee was so meaningful - this is a community that is ready for positive change and improvement. This is the first step of many." 

Planning has already begun for the 2019 DEI conference. Adrienne Cole, president and CEO of the Raleigh Chamber announced the launch of a Triangle DEI Alliance at the DEI conference. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Danya Perry.
