Each year, Wake County Economic Development, with valuable input from private sector EDGE partners and public sector partners, creates a program of work and a set of Key Performance Indicators. The program of work allows WCED to align efforts and resources to address economic development opportunities. The KPIs allow WCED to better track and understand the impact of our economic development efforts. Our KIPs for FY 2021-2022 were organized into five pillars.
Our annual report provides an overview into the progress and successes across all five pillars. Highlights include 4,000+ jobs and $44 million in investments across wake county, the relaunch of Work In The Triangle and a return to travel to meet with site selection consultants and industry partners across the country.
