#RaleighWakeSmart will portray what makes Wake Smart

The Raleigh M.A.I.N Event takes place every September in Raleigh. It is an Innovate Raleigh initiative that celebrates a month of music, art, innovation and noise. September is chalk full of vibrant events thanks to community leaders such as the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau (GRCVB), the City of Raleigh’s office of economic development, Innovate Raleigh and all the event leaders.

Wake County Economic Development (WCED) sponsors several of these events. In an effort to promote the events and the area, WCED is launching a campaign during the month of September to share what makes Raleigh and Wake County a “smart” place to live, work, play and learn.  There are so many things about our area that make it a “smart” place, and the month of September is the perfect time to put them on display. Each event will have its own theme: Hopscotch will represent “Live,” Innovate Raleigh Summit will represent “Work,” SPARKcon will represent “Play,” andCED Tech Venture will represent “Learn.”

We will be tweeting, blogging and posting to Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn all month sharing with you what we think makes Raleigh/Wake smart, as represented through the Raleigh M.A.IN Event. We want you to join in on the conversation and share what you think makes this area one of the smartest communities in the world using the hashtag #RaleighWakeSmart.

You can also win tickets to Hopscotch Music Festival, Saturdays events, by tweeting about what makes Wake County a smart place to live, work, play or learn! Just use the #RaleighWakeSmart and share.
