Jack Nelms

Project Manager

Jack Nelms is a Hampden-Sydney College graduate with a degree in Economics, whose professional journey began in outside sales within the third-party logistics sector. He later transitioned into a research-focused role at the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, where he deepened his understanding of the field. Having grown up around economic development, Jack was naturally drawn to its community impact, a passion further ignited by a college course that explored the subject in depth.

Now stepping into a more hands-on role in economic development, Jack is excited to work directly on projects that contribute to the growth of Wake County—his home region. He values the meaningful relationships he’s built with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders, and finds fulfillment in the positive effects economic development has on individuals and communities. Outside of work, Jack enjoys attending NC State football and basketball games, playing golf, and spending time at the beach with friends and family.
