The Research Triangle region continues to earn national recognition for its strong economic fundamentals and investment potential.

In the newly released Emerging Trends in Real Estate® 2027 report from PwC and the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Raleigh-Durham ranked No. 4 among the nation’s top real estate markets to watch. The annual report surveys nearly 1,500 real estate investors, developers, lenders, and advisors to identify the markets best positioned for investment and development.

The ranking reflects several factors attracting investor interest, including strong population growth, job creation, and economic resilience. Raleigh-Durham stood out for its ability to attract both businesses and talent while maintaining momentum across a diverse range of industries.

The report also highlights the growing impact of advanced manufacturing and innovation-driven industries on real estate demand. Combined with continued expansion from major employers and ongoing investment in Research Triangle Park, these trends are driving demand for industrial, commercial, and residential development across the region.

Many of the qualities highlighted in the report are reflected in Wake County’s strengths, including a highly skilled workforce, strategic infrastructure investments, and continued business growth. Together, these assets continue to position the region as a leading destination for future investment and opportunity.
