Another national ranking is shining a spotlight on Raleigh. WalletHub named Raleigh the No. 8 Best City for Women in 2026, recognizing the city’s strengths in economic opportunity and overall well-being for women. The ranking highlights Raleigh’s high quality of life and strong career advancement opportunities, reinforcing its reputation as one of the nation’s top places to live and work.  

WalletHub compared 182 U.S. cities across 15 indicators of women’s economic and social well-being, healthcare, and safety. The study evaluated factors including median earnings, unemployment rates, access to healthcare, and safety measures to identify where women are best positioned to thrive.
