As the 2015/2016 comes to a close, Wake County Economic Development has released our annual report to highlight major accomplishments our organization has made this past year. From engagement with every aspect of our community to leading the efforts for site development across the county it has been another busy and successful year as we strive to create an environment where Wake County can grow and thrive. Job Creation & Investment:
66 new and expanding company announcements.
4,573 jobs created.

Talent Attraction & Development: 
A commitment to expand our talent recruitment and retention strategy. 

Public Relations & Marketing: 
44 Stories Placed (average of 2 stories/month are placed) since the start of our national public relations effort.
Leading to an Advertising Equivalency of $3,881,993.
The launch of a redesigned and strategic economic development website.

Entrepreneurship:
Support and catalyze entrepreneurship and innovation in the region. By leveraging sponsorships, our public relations efforts, and collaborating with partners, we are helping to make Raleigh and the region, a current emerging startup hub, a top startup hub.
