Labor Force & Employment
Since March 2015, Wake County’s labor force has increased by 25,109 and employment has increased by 24,142. This represents growth of 4.7% and 4.8% for labor force and employment respectively.
In April 2015, Wake County had an unemployment rate (the proportion of those unemployed relative to the labor force) of 4.4%. Since then, the unemployment rate has fallen to 4.2%, representing a 0.3% decrease in the percentage of those unemployed in the county.
