Ipreo Announces Expansion at Downtown Raleigh Location

Ipreo will expand its presence in downtown Raleigh after receiving a new grant from the state of North Carolina and the city of Raleigh.

Ipreo has announced the expansion of its Raleigh, North Carolina operation. The company is a leading provider of workflow solutions and market intelligence to financial services and corporate professionals.

Ipreo selected downtown Raleigh in 2013 to open its first North Carolina office and just celebrated its five-year anniversary. Initially, the Raleigh office opened with fewer than 100 people and since has grown to 320 employees across all business and operational functions. With a commitment to bring at least 250 jobs to Raleigh within a four-year span, Ipreo plans to expand operations at the downtown Raleigh location.

“Downtown Raleigh is home to some of Raleigh’s most innovative companies,” said Mayor Nancy McFarlane. “Ipreo has been a vibrant member of the downtown community for the last five-years, showing commitment to innovation, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. Council and I are delighted to support Ipreo and to see it continue to grow in Raleigh!”

“We are excited to continue growth and expansion in downtown Raleigh”, said O’Hara Macken, EVP of Global Infrastructure and head of Ipreo’s North Carolina operation. “The environment for businesses in downtown Raleigh and Wake County only continues to get stronger. We are proud to be able to promote and drive growth in the business community and are excited to be an active partner with many local organizations.”

Ipreo plans to continue to focus on growing the Raleigh location and further developing the following roles: data analytics, user experience and design, quality assurance, development, and client delivery. As part of the expansion in downtown Raleigh, Ipreo will invest in connecting its staff with design themes aimed at supporting its open, innovative, and collaborative culture.

“This announcement is another example of the exceptional business climate we work to maintain and grow in Raleigh and Wake County,” said Michael Haley, executive director of Wake County Economic Development. “Ipreo has been a strong leader within our community and we are excited the company is expanding operations. This expansion demonstrates how a company like Ipreo can thrive and succeed in a region that offers a strong talent pipeline, access to globally-recognized education institutions, and a business ecosystem that is diverse and supported by numerous partnerships. We look forward to welcoming new Ipreo employees to Raleigh.”

A number of partners participated in this process including: North Carolina Department of Commerce, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, City of Raleigh, Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Wake County Economic Development, North Carolina Community College System, Wake Tech Community College, and Capital Area Workforce Development Board.
