CBC AMERICA is the largest organization of the CBC Group, a global network of manufacturing, import, export, trading, and distribution companies with worldwide headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, and more than 30 sales offices and manufacturing facilities worldwide. CBC's North America headquarters is composed of six divisions: imaging technology, optics, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, flooring, plastics and Eco-Energy.

"CBC's relocation is evidence of the strong economic development and community partnerships we have at play in Wake County and across the state," said WCED Executive Director Adrienne Cole.
The decision to relocate resulted from four months of ongoing collaboration between CBC and Wake County Economic Development, the NC Department of Commerce, the Economic Development Partnership of N.C., the Cary Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Cary, Alamance County, and the Town of Mebane. These economic development partners also worked closely with several community organizations including: the North Carolina Community College System, Capital Area Workforce Development Board, Regional Partnership Workforce Development, Elon University, Meredith College, and NC State University's Japan Center. |
