2016 County and Municipal Property Tax Rates

Local property tax rates are calculated against each $100 in value. If you live in a city or town, you will pay both county and municipal property taxes, plus any additional special taxes that apply. For more information, or to determine if any special district taxes or fire district taxes apply to your specific location, please visit the Wake County Revenue Department website.

North Carolina Taxes

The corporate income tax rate for North Carolina is 4.0%*. There is not a local corporate income tax.
*The corporate income tax rate for North Carolina will drop to 3.0% starting January 2017. 

The state will phase-in a single sales factor in the 2016 and 2017 tax years, with a 100% sales factor imposed in the 2018 tax year.
