Cary, NC Claims 3rd Spot on List of Best U.S. Job Markets in 2024

A 2024 study done by smartasset placed Cary, NC in the top 10 best job markets in the U.S. The town of Cary took the 3rd spot after favorable U.S. Census Bureau data indicated several high-scoring economic contributors. Analysts compared over 300 cities with a population of 100,000 people or more against key indicators of unemployment rate, income growth, housing affordability, health insurance, and commute times. Cary had one of the lowest unemployment rates as well as commute times. The town is around a 20-minute drive to neighboring Triangle cities and towns of Durham, Raleigh, and Chapel-Hill.
