Garner names economic development director

The town of Garner has named a new economic development director.

Tony Beasley has been promoted from senior inspector in the Inspections Department, where he has worked for the past two years. In his new job, he will be responsible for leading Garner’s efforts to recruit companies and bring more jobs to the town.

Beasley will head a three-person team charged with promoting Garner as a business destination.
