Wake County Economic Development is pleased to announce that HCL America Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of HCL Technologies Ltd., India’s leading global IT services firm, will establish its first US Delivery Center in Wake County. The company will invest $3.2 million over the next five years and plans to create at least 513 jobs.
HCL America is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. With more than 3,000 people across 21 offices in 15 states, HCL America contributed more than 50% of HCL's total worldwide Consulting and IT Services revenues during the quarter ended June 30, 2008. The company leverages decades of global consulting and IT services expertise to create strong, long lasting relationships with its diverse group of Fortune 1000 customers across the Aerospace & Automotive, Energy & Utilities, Financial Services (Banking, Capital Markets & Insurance), Government, Hi-Tech & Manufacturing, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Media & Entertainment, Retail & CPG and Telecommunication industries.

The new jobs will focus on software development and infrastructure services. This new facility was made possible in part by a Job Development Investment Grant from the State of North Carolina.
Partners who helped make this announcement possible include Wake County Economic Development, the N.C. Department of Commerce, N.C. Community Colleges, Research Triangle Regional Partnership, and Progress Energy.
