Lassiter Distilling Company Launches Lassiter’s North Carolina Rum

• Launches flagship product (NC ABC Code 66415) in North Carolina
• North Carolina’s newest distillery sets grand opening of Knightdale location for Oct. 15 from 11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Knightdale, NC, October 10, 2016 – Lassiter Distilling Company, North Carolina’s newest distillery, delivered its first shipment of Lassiter’s North Carolina Rum (NC ABC Code 66415) to the NC Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission warehouse in Raleigh this morning, effectively launching the brand in the North Carolina market. The distillery also announced the grand opening of its Knightdale plant will take place Saturday, October 15, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
“Lassiter’s North Carolina Rum is a full-flavored white rum designed to stand up in the world’s greatest cocktails, whether they’re made by a master mixologist or mixed at your backyard barbecue,” said Gentry Lassiter, co-founder and CEO of Lassiter Distilling Company.

Lassiter’s North Carolina Rum is crafted entirely at the Lassiter Distilling Company’s location in Knightdale at 319 North First Avenue. The rum is made from rich molasses and sweet unrefined cane sugar, resulting in a slightly sweet rum with floral and citrus notes over a delicious molasses flavor. The rum, which will be available through ABC stores and at the distillery soon, is priced at $24.95 for a 750 milliliter bottle for retail customers in North Carolina.

Lassiter Distilling Company is the first licensed distillery in Knightdale. The company is focused on the production of high quality rum and plans to launch aged and flavored products, as well as experimental collaborations with partners in the future. The distillery will host its grand opening on Saturday, October 15, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., where founders and family members will welcome the public through its doors for the first time.
