In a report from U.S. News & World Report, the Raleigh and Durham metros both found themselves at the 21st spot on the list of fastest growing places in the U.S. for 2023-2024. Researchers used the U.S. Census Bureau’s net migration data from 2020-2021 to compile the most accurate data calculations across 150 most populous cities in the nation. The area saw a 1.22% population increase between 2020 and 2021. One of the biggest factors that influenced the area’s growth was the job market offered by schools and local corporations. Research also showed that former university students are choosing to lay permanent roots in the Triangle area upon graduating. Read more here.
