Raleigh Named #1 Big City for Career Growth

Raleigh was ranked the #1 Hottest Big City for Career Growth out of 51 MSAs. The study, conducted by moveBuddha, analyzed the top metros in the U.S. with a population of more than one million. Analysts used key indicators of unemployment change, job growth percentage, annual wages, and move in-to-out ratios to determine the order in which each metro was ranked. Raleigh dominated with its sky-high move-in to move-out ratio, bolstering its job growth of 3.8%. The Research Triangle area also contributed to a high ranking in STEM job growth.
