The City of Oaks is one of the top places to work in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, according to a recent report.
Raleigh ranks No. 3 on financial website WalletHub's list of the best metros for STEM professionals, behind Houston at No. 1 and Austin at No. 2.
The rankings are based on an analysis of the 100 most populated metros in the U.S. using factors such as job openings per capita for STEM graduates and STEM occupations, STEM employment growth, STEM high schools, average STEM wages, housing affordability, family-friendly traits and recreational opportunities.
