Wake County Economic Development And Red Hat Discuss Strengths Of Local Economy

RALEIGH, N.C. – Wake County Economic Development (WCED) (www.raleigh-wake.org) has announced the official release of its first video profile for “Raleigh-Wake County Business Feature,” a new video series profiling locally-based companies that continue to grow and remain competitive during the nation’s current economic slowdown.  The first profile features the Raleigh-based company Red Hat, Inc.  Amidst the current economic downturn, Red Hat has continued to represent one of North Carolina’s most successful and fastest-growing companies, remaining competitive in its market sector worldwide.  The Red Hat video features interviews with Tom Rabon, vice president of Corporate Affairs, and DeLisa Alexander, senior vice president of People and Brand.  The Red Hat interview addresses topics such as: recent growth of Red Hat and the role that Wake County has played in its success, the innovative workforce in Wake County and its impact on the local economy, and strategies WCED has employed to ensure that the region’s economy remains strong during the economic downturn.
