County Health Rankings, released by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute, has Wake County as the healthiest N.C. county for 2016. This is an annual report in which Wake County consistently stays as a top two contender for the healthiest county.
The report looks at health outcomes such as length of life and quality of life as well as Health Factors which include health behaviors (adult smoking, obesity, physical inactivity), clinical care, social and economic factors, and physical environment.
