Niche’s recent report analyzed all 100 counties in North Carolina and found that Wake County checked all of the right boxes! The county was named the #1 best county to live in in North Carolina based on 10 factors showing that the county boasts a strong higher education rate that pairs well with a low cost of living. Real estate costs, low crime rates, and diversity efforts outrank neighboring counties resulting in a higher reported quality of life. Other important indicators that were used to determine final rankings were public education, jobs, and recreation. The county received an A+ cumulative score for all categories. Read more here.
