Creating 550 new jobs over the next five years
RALEIGH, N.C. – December 13, 2016 – Wake County Economic Development (WCED), the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Morrisville and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC), announced today that INC Research, an internationally recognized contract research organization (CRO) that conducts Phase 1 through Phase IV clinical trials on drugs addressing a range of disorders for the biopharmaceutical and medical device industries, has expanded in Morrisville. The Company, which operates in 40 countries around the globe, will add 550 new jobs at their Wake County headquarters over the next five years.
“Wake County and the Research Triangle region is home to one of the largest life science clusters in the world and is recognized as a global hub of life science innovation,” said WCED Executive Director Adrienne Cole. “We are excited to have INC Research, a leading CRO, continue to grow in Wake County.”
The decision to expand in Wake County resulted from months of ongoing collaboration between INC Research, WCED, Wake County, the Town of Morrisville, the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce, Wake Tech Community College, the North Carolina Biotech Center and the EDPNC.
